Denton Audenshaw and Droylsden PCN affectionately known as DAD have pledged that they will offer respectful inclusive support to people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. On 16th June staff from the surgeries that they represent attended our awareness raising training, learning about how they can offer support, referring via the Homeless Reduction Act and about services local to Tameside.

PCNs build on current primary care services and enable greater provision of proactive, personalised, coordinated and more integrated health and social care. Clinicians describe this as a change from reactively providing appointments to proactively providing care for the people and communities they serve. DAD clearly evidence this by wanting to learn more about how they can offer support to people who are homeless.
