We are proud that on World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day plus it was also Hospice Care Week Willow Wood Hospice signed the pledge to become a Homeless-Friendly Hospice. Willow Wood is committed to address inequalities in palliative and end of life care, and staff have started training to better understand the needs of the homeless, whose average life expectancy is just 47 years of age. 80% of the homeless also have mental health issues. They stated that they ‘are looking forward to developing our policies and making our care more accessible to those in real need’.
Willow Wood Hospice joins Homeless Friendly
