Pharmaco in #Openshaw #Audenshaw #Manchester are the first pharmacy nationally to promise to be Homeless-Friendly.
An independent pharmacy, they have been serving their community for over 35 years. And their strong local standing plus their undoubted compassion makes them perfect flag-bearers for the #homeless, says our programme founder Zahid Chauhan
“Those experiencing homeless and rough sleepers in particular will use the#pharmacy as a first port of call” said Dr Chauhan, “especially as they open for so long, are accessible to all and sadly because homeless people still think they can’t get treatment at a surgery due to lack of address. Pharmacies will be a pivotal part of our programme and I congratulate Ken and the team for being the first in Britain to seize the initiative.”
Homeless-Friendly invites organisations to examine their policies and procedures and pledge to ensure they cater for those who are homeless. Join us by visiting https://www.homelessfriendly.co.uk/
